2. Spelling quiz tomorrow! 3. Please get your portfolios signed. Happy storm day! To keep on track, please do the following: 1. Study your vocabulary words. If you don't have them with you, check the "Vocabulary words of the week" section of the blog. 2. Work on these challenging math problems: a. 4 x 3375 b. 7 x 1009 c. 9 x 9188 d. 6 x 2838 Don't forget - in grade 4, you only need to know how to multiply single digit times three digit numbers (example: 4 x 125). That being said, these problems use the same strategies you'd use for any multiplication! 3. Here's a great math game to practice your multiplication table: Multiplication Table Game 4. This is a great website on water conservation. There are all kinds of tips and games:

I will try, but the comments section of the blog might be a good idea if anyone has any question on today's work. Edit: Just noticed that my Tuesday post on homework didn't go through properly. Just fixed it! 1. Read chapters 13, 14, and 15 of Noemie.

2. If you haven't already done so, please finish the math sheet started in class. 3. Read chapters 11 and 12 of "Noemie." We have some strange homework today - I want you to find dirt! We are building a water table, and to demonstrate this I need some earth or sand. I understand this is not an ideal time of year, so this homework is very optional! If you can get a scoopful of dirt from a garden that would be great, but if not I will be bringing in lots! Please bring it in a plastic bag.
