For those who would like to put their child in tutoring this summer Ellen Vandenkuiken is available. She is currently teaching at Glen Stewart. Here is her contact:
Email [email protected] 1. We are almost finished the school year! Here are a few things to keep in mind this week:
- I'm aware that the permission forms were missing a page. If you handed in the form (signed), I'll assume you're giving permission for your child to attend Sandspit. That being said, I will send home a complete form today (Monday). - Sandspit is 15$. - If you would like to buy your own school supplies for next year, could you please send in a note? Nothing major - a note in your child's agenda is perfect! 2. We are finished with vocabulary words for the year! For take home homework I will only ask you to finish up any work that is not completed in class. Given that the week could get hectic, I thought I'd put up the homework for the whole week today. This Friday is our sports day, and after that is movie day in the library. For this week, the homework is very simple: 1. We are reading in English (your choice!) 2. Study your vocabulary words - we are studying homophones in English. 3. Finish any math sheets not completed in class. Here are the cursive writing sheets we'll be working on this week:
www.k5learning.com/worksheets/cursive-writing/cursive-handwriting-practice-passages-1-printable.pdf 1. Read chapter 5 of "Le petit garcon..." 2. Study your vocabulary words - our last French spelling quiz is tomorrow! 3. Maths - finish your "diagramme a bandes." 4. Maths - finish the work done in class today! 5. Our math quiz is tomorrow. Here is a question from the quiz: (the "tableau" will not copy/paste for me. It will be fine on the quiz!) Ce tableau indique le temps pendant lequel les lumières sont allumées dans les pièces d’une maison au cours d’une journée. Pièce Temps en minutes Cuisine 210 Chambre 90 Salle de bain 75 Salon 300 Entrée 240 a) Sur du papier quadrillé à 1 cm, construis un diagramme à bandes pour représenter ces données. b) Indique deux choses que le diagramme t’apprend. |
