What a surprise! Enjoy this day.
Keep in mind that there is still work to be done! For those who want it, we are having our geography quiz retake tomorrow. You can study for it today. You can also practice your multiplication table (there are a lot of great games on the post below). For those finishing up your recipes, you can take today to really go over it and make it perfect. Also, your 100 minutes of reading could easily be filled up today.

We are continuing to read at home in French this week! I will be sending home guided reading books, but please be sure to pick out some great French books from our classroom library.
This week we will also be moving into division! Our quiz will be next week. Take a few minutes each day to practice the tough parts of your multiplication table. On Monday, we will be working on our good copies of our cookbooks. Hopefully we will be able to take home our cookbooks by Monday! We will be skating tomorrow (Friday). The skate times are 1:15. Also, don't forget our quiz tomorrow!

I've sent this already in an email, but just a reminder that we are sledding tomorrow.
1. We have sleds at school! Please do not bring one in. 2. Only those with helmets will be allowed to sled. If you can't bring in a helmet, please don't worry. We'll still have lots of fun outside. Please dress warmly, as it looks like a cold day tomorrow. If it's too cold to sled we will go on Monday instead! To better understand our book, City of Ember, we are learning about electricity and circuits. Here are some games to help us:

This week we are working on multiplication. Reviewing tables 0 - 5 at home will really help everyone stay sharp. We're also reading City of Ember. I'm trying to find a really good map of the City. Here's a link to one for those who are interested: City of Ember map Good morning, all! We've barely begun the new year and already we're on our second snow day. Here are a few websites to keep up our skills: Canadian geography quiz (in English) Enjoy these sites, and look around a few that we've posted before Christmas. I will be out tomorrow at an in-service. I miss you all and can't wait to see everyone on Monday!
