Thursday, September 28: - Maths cahier pages 26 et 27 - Read in English - 100 minutes by Monday - recipes Friday, September 29: - Maths manuel pages 60 -61 # 1,2,3, 9 - Read in English - 100 minutes by Monday Monday, October 1: - Maths (cahier) pages 30 - 31 - Read in French this week - reader's choice! Tuesday, October 2: - Math worksheet - Read in French this week: readers' choice!

1. English reading this week - 100 minutes by next Monday
2. Maths - finish up the worksheet started in class. 1. We are finally reading in English! Everyone will be sent home with books this week. You are responsible for reading 100 minutes in English at home, but you may need to read more than what I've sent home for you. Please feel free to supplement your reading! You may also find the books a little easy. This is because I'm just getting to know you all and what you're capable of! I'll have better selections in the weeks to come.
2. English words will be sent home today! Don't forget that there are different lists. I'll put the lists up on the blog, but you are responsible for remembering what group you're in. 3. Math (cahier d'exercise) pages 18 and 19. A reminder that I will be away at the end of the week starting Thursday afternoon. Denise Uterlinde will be in for me. 1. Portfolios are going home this week! Please take the time to look them through and sign the sheet.
2. Math sheet - please complete the math sheet started in class. 3. Reading - please finish up your 100 minutes of French reading by Monday. We will be starting French reading next week! 4. Our Terry Fox run will be next Friday. 1. We are reading in French this week. We changed books yesterday and will change (as needed) today as well. Please remember that your child should have read 100 minutes by Monday.
2. In math class today we worked in our exercise book on pages 16 and 17. If it wasn't finished in class it should be finished at home! 3. We are still hunting for "big numbers" in the news or in catalogs, books, etc. If you come across any please copy them down or bring the article in to class. 1. Read in French for 100 minutes by next Monday. Don't forget - I've sent home leveled books this week!
2. Finish the math sheet started in class today. Today we went on google classroom and started a writing assignment. For those of you who are able, you should be able to access the site from home. If you can log into your gmail account you can just follow the links from there! 1. We are still with our same French books tonight! If you have already finished your book, please practice reading it out loud for fluency. Don't forget to pack your book for school tomorrow - we will be reading in pairs.
2. Finish page 14 of your math exercise book. I'm pretty sure we all finished this in class. For those who would like to practice comparing numbers a bit, here is a fun game: Fruit Splat 3. Please get your child to read them aloud for practice.
2. Math sheet started for class. Sneak peek for the week - this week we will be.... 1. Starting book buddies with Mme. Marchbank's class 2. Getting into our first official batch of vocabulary words (in French). This week we are looking at words with s and ss in them. 3. In math we will learn how to compare numbers, and how to estimate. 4. We will keep reading Coraline as class in English. 5. We will also start writing in English! Our first writing genre will be procedural. 6. Our soil samples collected next week need to be examined and described. We will also learn about erosion. 1. I look forward to meeting you all tonight at Meet the Teacher. It will start at 6:30, NOT, 6:00.
2. Read in French 3. Math - we starting working in our math books today. If your child did not get the chance to finish in class, they should select three problems from pages 36 and 37. 1. Important! If your child takes bus 174, it will be arriving seven minutes earlier starting tomorrow.
