We're almost there!
Tomorrow we will be skating at 1:15. Parents are welcome to come to help out - we can always use the extra hands! We are also having a small Christmas celebration in the afternoon after lunch. I will be providing a small treat for kids, but as always parents are welcome to send in nut-free treats if they wish. There is no homework this week - enjoy the snow while it lasts!

1. We don't have any reading homework this week!
2. For those that didn't complete their math work in class, please finish pages 100 and 101. A lot is going on tomorrow!
- Homework: Our 100 minutes of reading is due on Monday. Students should be reading in fairy tales in either French or English - Secret Santa: For those who have signed up, you have until Monday to give your gift! Remember: do not buy anything - either make it or take something from home that you already had. - Christmas Dress up: Tomorrow is Christmas Dress up day. Feel free to bring a donation for our Christmas Family Fund - Candy Grams: Candy Grams are 1$ each. You can purchase them tomorrow - Bake Sale - the grade 6 bake sale is tomorrow. As with all the other events, money raised will benefit our Christmas families. 1. We are reading fairy tales this week! They can be in French or English, but you still need to read 100 minutes by Monday.
2. For those who haven't collected their recipes yet, please get them as soon as possible! We are starting to write them out. 3. There are two upcoming fundraisers in the school: tomorrow, students will be able to purchase candy grams and baked goods (for our bake sale). We are reading fairy tales this week! The students can read in French or in English, but they must be fairy tales. We will take a moment today to look through our collection at home. Some students will be bringing home specific guided reading fairy tales to practice at home.
To add to our homework this week, I'd like the students to bring in a special recipe from home. It can be their favourite smoothie, a cookie recipe, or their favourite meal. We are writing a cookbook! The cookbook will be in French, but the students can bring in English copies of their recipe (we will translate them). https://macphailwoods.org/nature-guides/mammals/ Bonjour tout le monde!
Well done on the math quiz today - I was so impressed by your hard work! Remember that we are reading in English this week, and I will be checking your green duo-tangs on Monday. As I mentioned in class, I will be out again tomorrow. So sorry for all the absences! Please welcome Mr. MacAdam into the classroom. I will still be in tomorrow for interviews and look forward to meeting with parents then. Don't forget our quiz tomorrow!
Here's a question that will be on the quiz: Trouves 3/4 (trois quarts) de 24. Bonne chance demain! |
