A reminder that we are in a short week! There is no school on Thursday or Friday. This week we will be focusing largely on Truth and Reconciliation. I'll share a few resources throughout the week. French We have started writing informational texts! Students are writing on something they know a lot about. I've seen texts on space, cats, gymnastics, tennis - all kinds things! Some students may wish do to more research at home on their subject. They can look up information on the internet or go to the library. Our next visit to the library won't be until next Monday, but I will encourage them to take out relevant books then. English We have started reading "Mystery at Cranberry Farm." It's a great book with lots of mystery. We are also learning how to do "word work." The kids can go to Google Classroom to look at the word sort. This week we are working on long a sounds. We are still working on number sense (and will be for awhile). In mental math, we are working on addition and subtraction. Below are some games we played on Friday. We are starting to learn about habitats and how animals adapt to their environment.
