Hi everyone! I know there are a lot of people out this week, so I'll try to post any worksheets or activities we're doing. If you're out, please check back frequently. We still have the same English vocabulary words as last week, so check the "Vocabulary Words of the Week" tab. French This week we will be concentrating a lot on guided reading and reader's workshop. Books were sent home with students, so they can keep practicing them. I'll invite students to switch out their books if they need to during the week. We will also be reviewing how to pluralize adjectives and nouns. I'm going to post some of the worksheets we will actually be working on in class. We will be doing a word search in our English books for examples of the patterns. Please check out our "Vocabulary Words of the Week" on the blog for our words. French This week we are finishing our good copies of our stories and starting our free writes. I will also be writing to parents regarding our new guided reading groups. - Book Fair information: The Sherwood School Online Book Fair opened on Monday and closes on Friday, November 18th. Visit https://virtualbookfairs.scholastic.ca/pages/5171206 to view and/or purchase. All purchases will be delivered to the school and then sent home with the student. If you don't want your books sent with your student, please contact [email protected] to make other arrangements. 1. On Tuesday, we have time to purchase books from the bookfair. 2. On Friday, we will be having our math evaluation. French This week in French we are finishing up our French stories. Students are invited to bring them home to work on. We are also starting new vocabulary words, as well as studying the verb "aimer" in present tense. I will update the vocabulary words of the week to reflect this. Students are invited to bring their texts home to work on. We will also be continuing to read Varjak Paw. I'll post some youtubes with the chapters for those who would like to "read" ahead! Maths As I mentioned, our math evaluation is this Friday. I know some students will be at an early bird tournament on Friday, so they will be doing their evaluation on Thursday. I will post the hardest question from the quiz on Thursday. They will be evaluation on adding and subtracting up to 4 digits. Students are finding borrowing and regrouping extra hard, so practicing this is highly suggested!
