It's the week before the spring break! This week we are going to be concentrating on finishing up existing projects. We will be writing our good copies of our English texts, finishing our animal slideshows, and finishing up our map of PEI. It's also spirit week. Here's a breakdown of each day:
Monday - Beach day Tuesday - red, white and pink day Wednesday - pajama day Thursday - just a normal day ;) Friday - Winter Wellness Day - please note: we still have school this day! Here's what we're working on this week: French Finishing up our slideshows! This will be our big focus each day. Students can access this from home by going to Google Classroom. English Finishing our informational texts (good copies). We will also finish up book clubs. I may suggest to some students to take their texts home. I'll email any parents if I think their child needs a bit of extra work. Sciences humaines We are finishing up our maps of PEI. Some have already completed this, so they will concentrate on getting other things done. Maths The multiplication table! We will go through it all this week. We will DEFINITELY be seeing it after the break, but it will mostly be for practice. I'm hoping to do an informal evaluation on Friday so students know what to concentrate on. A reminder that we are skating this Thursday!
French This week we will be writing our Google Slides (animals). This project is on Google Classroom and can be accessed from home. We will also be looking at verb endings and continuing our work on reading. English By Friday I would like everyone to have finished their first draft of their informational text. Some are already done, but others should probably get some work done at home! This is a subject of their choosing, but it must be an informational text. We are also studying our word lists as well this week. They will be up on Google Classroom, but I will also be writing up lists on "Vocabulary words of the Week." Maths We are starting multiplication tables! Check back here to see some games and activities we will be practicing. Don't forget our math quiz this Monday! Remember, here are some of the concepts you will be tested on:
- Convertir les fractions et les nombres décimaux - Trouver des nombres décimaux équivalents - additionner et soustraire les nombres décimaux Here is one of the questions on the quiz. In my opinion, it's the toughest question: 10,00 - 1,25 Bonne chance! |
