Dear parents and guardians, As you may have already heard, your child has been working on a Popsicle stick bridge. We created our prototypes in October, and we are now working on our finished projects. We will be entering our bridges in the PEI Engineering Society Bridge Building competition. The Bridge Building judging will take place on Friday, March 10 at 5:00 pm at the Charlottetown Mall. While students are not required to be there, they and their families are welcome to witness the judging. Your child was given a handout with the details of the competition, but if it has been misplaced, the details can be found at http://www.engineerspei.com/national-engineering-month/bridge-building-contest. This is a home-based project, however your child has been provided with some time at school to work on their bridge. All bridges should be in the classroom, ready for pick-up, by Wednesday, March 8. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]. Sincerely, 1. Finish the math sheet sent home yesterday.
2. Read in English this week! 3. Study your vocabulary words. 4. Keep working on your bridges! I sent home a note about them today. |
