This week we will be welcoming M. Saunders, our student teacher. M. Saunders will be with us for eight weeks, and we look forward to learning with him! Here is what we will be up to this week: French - We will be introducing a new writing genre (persuasive) this week in both languages. This week we will concentrate on building up our carnet d'auteur. We will also work on vocabulary words with the sound "ain." Check out the "vocabulary words of the week" section on the blog. During this unit, we will be learning how to identify different groupings of rocks, the difference between rocks and minerals, and how crystals are formed.

Welcome back! I hope everyone had an enjoyable break. Please check out the "Vocabulary words of the week" and "Important Dates" sections on the blog. Here is what we are working on this week:
French We will finish our slide shows this week. Students can work on them at home by going into google classroom. We are also going to be restarting new guided reading groups. English We are launching into our word work. There are word lists up on Google classroom, but I will also be putting them up on the blog. I am planning on taking Tuesday to finish our good copies of our informational texts. Math We are still working on our multiplication table strategies this week. I'll be evaluating the students a few times this week to get an idea of what they need to work on. They can work on their tables at home. Science We will be starting a new unit this week!
