I hope everyone's Easter holidays were enjoyable! We have a short week ahead of us. First of all, some students are taking part in coding club. Here is a link for anyone who would like to work from home: https://makecode.microbit.org/#editor French In French this week, we are continuing our journey in spelling. Please check the "Spelling words of the week" section of the blog on Tuesday. Our new words will be up there. We are also continuing to read Gilles Tibo. There will be a new round of books to practice on Tuesday. English In English, we are working on word work. New words will be on Google classroom for anyone who would like to practice at home. We are also exploring informational texts. For Roots of Empathy (which is done in English), students are writing an essay: "If you got to make the rules, what would you change to make people more resilient?" We will work on this in English class, but students are welcome to work on this at home as well. Maths We are exploring measurement in math. Students are responsible for understanding how big a square meter and a square centimeter are. Here's a page to help students understand: https://www.mathsisfun.com/measure/metric-area.html Also, last week we played with pentominoes. Here's the site we used: https://www.transum.org/Maths/Activity/Jigsaw/Tetrominoes.asp?Level=2
