Here's what we're up to this week: French In French, we are diving into guided reading. On Monday, all students will be given some guided reading books. They can read them at home for practice, but they don't have to! We will be concentrating on informational texts. Students will practice taking notes, and every group will become experts in certain areas. We will continue to work on our verbs as well. English We are reviewing our English vocabulary words this week. Check out "Vocabulary Words of the Week" to start. We are also exploring figurative language, starting with alliteration, then similes and metaphors. In grade 4, students need to be able to multiply numbers up to 9x9. We will work on all kinds of strategies, but daily practice is the best way for kids to master their facts.
