What a rainy start to the week! Here's what we're up to: French In French, we will be working on some new vocabulary words, as well as the verb "Aller" in present tense (check out "Vocabulary Words of the Week" for the list. We will be finishing "Sophie lance et compte" and restarting guided reading. As well, we will be learning about Google Slides, and using them to write an informational text on an animal. English In English, we are continuing to write our informational texts. We have also started our book clubs, and will be completing sections 1 and 2 this week. Students will mostly work on this in class, but some may need to bring their books home to practice. Math In math, we will be comparing decimal numbers, and beginning our addition and subtraction of decimals. One of the best ways to learn that is to count money! Here's an extra worksheet that helps with that. Also, grown ups can help out by looking at decimal numbers like grocery bills and menus costs with their child. www.homeschoolmath.net/worksheets/table-canadian-money.php?penny=1&nickel=1&dime=1&quarter=1&halfdollar=1&1dollar=1&2dollar=1&problems=6&sort=1&maxcoins=8&maxvalue=500&font=sans-serif&FontSize=11pt&pad=10&ptitle=&Submit=Submit Social studies: We are continuing to look at the map of PEI. Students have been learning about mapping through Google maps. Science: Some students are working on a specific project involving building a "Dance Dance Revolution" board with Makey Makey. I am learning along with them, but here is a few examples of ready made programs: scratch.mit.edu/projects/163348168/remixes/
