It was lovely meeting with you all this week! I'll be contacting some of you in the next little while to follow up on some of our discussions.. Here's what we're up to this week: French Our guided reading is in full swing. A reminder that students can practice their books at home. Please ensure that students bring their books in every day! For students who would like a little bit more French reading, here's a great site with tons of French fairy tales: Les contes English This week, we all have the same vocabulary words. I've attached a few of them on the "Vocabulary Words of the Week" tab. We are looking at contractions. It's particularly important that students understand where to place them. Here are a couple of worksheets to practice: Contractions Also, we are starting English guided reading! We are also reading fairy tales. Students are welcome to practice at home. We are also continuing our work on our stories. If students would like to continue their stories at home, they are welcome to bring their blue scribblers with them. Maths We are starting to compare fractions! In grade four, students should be able to compare fractions with like denominators or like numerators. Here's a little worksheet that can help reinforce this: Comparing fractions Technology We are starting lots of fun technology stuff this week! On Tuesday, we will begin to learn to code.
